Questions
- Do the prices include VAT?
- No. Every price is shown ex VAT, and VAT at 20% is added at checkout. Builder is £49 a month + VAT (£58.80 in all), VariationFlow £200 + VAT (£240) and VariationFlow + QA Flow £400 + VAT (£480). Every invoice shows the VAT as its own line, so a VAT-registered business can reclaim it.
- Is there a minimum term?
- Paid plans have a 6-month minimum term. After that you can cancel at any time. The Free plan has no term and needs no card.
- Can a commercial contractor use the Builder plan?
- No. Builder covers domestic projects for homeowners, each up to £100,000, with up to five users. Subcontract and commercial work, and payment applications under the Construction Act, are on the VariationFlow plan. If a domestic job is bigger than the limit, contact us and we will set you up.
- What is an extra organisation?
- A division, a department or a second company run from the same account. Each one is £150 a month + VAT, and once you have two you get group reporting across them.
- Can I add QA Flow later?
- Yes. On the VariationFlow plan, billed monthly, you can add QA Flow from Billing for £200 a month + VAT, which brings you to the same £400 as VariationFlow + QA Flow. The add-on is always billed monthly, so on annual billing upgrade to VariationFlow + QA Flow instead, which keeps the 20% off on both.
- Is there a discount for paying annually?
- Yes, 20% off when you pay for the year up front.
- Does VariationFlow replace our accounts software?
- No. VariationFlow is your commercial record: variations, instructions, valuations and applications, the payment clocks and the CVR on every job. It holds no ledger, runs no payroll, files no CIS returns and raises no purchase orders, so your accounts stay where they are. You can export the register as CSV or JSON for your accounts team.
